Tonight M and I, on the ride home, were discussing the changes and goals we had for 2013 and one we both agreed on was embracing our inner “fierceness” and start investing more time in taking care of ourselves. To be as fabulous as we know we can be. Therefore, let it be know these four women are my fashion inspirations for 2013. If I start wearing heels more often, its not a special occasion, I’m just putting to use all those shoes sitting in my closet gathering dust.
I love each of these four women’s styles and their confidence.
It goes without saying that Beyonce is Beyonce and she would be amazing in a potato sack. But her recent look of tailored pants and simple sweaters has been on point.
And, we all know I think Rihanna is a bad ass chick and I love that she has a “no fucks are given” attitude. But, Rihanna’s sense of style is edgy and the right amount of “tomboyish.” She can rock flannels, cut offs, and sneakers like nobody’s business.
Lauren Conrad has impeccable taste and her looks can be bought on a budget (which I love). And, her casual looks still look put together yet comfy.
Kim Kardashian has an amazing figure and works it. Almost every dress she wears is perfectly fitted and emphasizes her body. She uses a belt at her waist to emphasize her curves, which as a busty girl with a small waist, I need to start doing this when wearing dresses and high waisted skirts.
Here’s to 2013 and evolving to what I’ve been waiting to be.
