I’m doing this next year! I love this idea.
This is a book lover’s perfect tree.
Nights like last night make me so thankful for moving to San Diego. I’ve had a hard time getting in my normal holiday spirits because of the lack of frost in the air, homes with excessive lights, and holiday shopping. However, last night really put me in the holiday mood. My friends and I went to December Nights at Balboa Park. It’s an annual event where the park strings lights everywhere and carolers sing throughout the park. Some scenes from The Nutcracker are performed for free. All the museums at the park are open for free for about six hours. A lot of local artists have booths with their artwork for sale. The international houses at the park open up with their Christmas traditions. They also have about fifty food stands, most of which focus on traditional food in various countries. I had Lebanese and Palestinian food, which was absolutely delicious. And the best part, besides the cost of food, it was absolutely free!
Today is the start of the 25 Days of Christmas! And although I have been listening to holiday music for several weeks now and already had my decorations up for Thanksgiving, it is truly beginning to look a lot like Christmas.
Now, if only I convince my friends that frequent ice skating and hot cocoa is required by all.
Life of a Grad Student Vol. 13
We obviously have too much time on our hands. Or we prefer to procrastinate by taking cheesy holiday photos.
I love grad school.
My tumblr will be blowing up with holiday things until New Years is over. I patiently wait all year long for this time of year. I have a Christmas problem. But, at least you know I am full of holiday spirit, aka, probably the friendliest I am all year.
Now I can watch this movie on repeat and not be considered a Christmas freak.
