I will be forever alone because I suck at the follow through.

Case in point: I went to the bar with my uncle and his friend and struck up a conversation with a couple guys.  I ended up getting in a political debate with a guy for a good hour.  And, although he was conservative, he was well-reasoned and was very open minded (which is the only type of conservatives I like, and like is a strong word).  I gave him my number when he asked, not expecting him to text me.  I mean, I’m a crazy feminist liberal.

However, he did text me, and I mean what do I say?  I find its so hard to talk to strangers, especially via text.  He seemed so sweet and genuinely excited for me when I told him my family was in town.  And….I don’t respond.

This is not the first time I’ve done this either.  I’m notorious for giving guys my phone numbers when I’m out.  Mind you, I’m under the influence and feeling friendly.  Then, when they text me the next day, I blank and don’t respond.

What am I supposed to say?  ”I don’t really remember what you look like, but I’m sure you are super nice,” is probably not the best thing to say.  I need some lessons in having game.  HELP!
